Sisal Rope, The Paws Photo Shoot

Initially, we started getting a few questions related to our images on the website. As cute as Belle ‘n’ Paws are… the questions came more about the rope we were using for the trees they are usually pictured sitting in.

Some eagle eyed peeps had asked if we had made the trees ourselves. Which we have. Having gotten that question several times before in the past, we knew, inevitably the next question is usually always “what’s the best rope when making cat trees and scratching posts?”. For the answer, we can only speak from our experience, and quite simply, sisal rope is the best to use.

If you’re willing to embark on a DIY project of a scratching post or cat tree, pat yourself on the back. It’s not that hard to do, and its relatively cheap doing it yourself compared to what we’ve seen some people charge and the outrageous prices of completed cat trees in the stores.

In the process of putting together our first info article here at BellenPaws.com for sisal rope, we had to take some pictures of the rope we were going to write about. I threw some rope on the floor and started taking snaps. That’s when Paws decided to get involved.

The following are snaps from the resulting photo shoot. In case there was any doubt as to whether cats like sisal rope. It’s important to note that there is no catnip on this rope or in the room. All cats will react differently of course. We have video to be posted later, but consider these snaps a slideshow preview. Many of the snaps were too blurry to post. He was moving too fast.

We build cat trees for family and friends, so Paws is used to this stuff being around and out. He enjoys when given the opportunity.

Enjoy the pics! Paws certainly enjoyed himself!
