Hello… my name is Brackers. As you can imagine I go by a whole host of other names. It’s “Brackers” today. My dominant feature is I’m a black long haired cat. Another thing that stares you in the face is the fact that I only have one of my front fangs. That fang left there is soon to go as well I’m sure.
I have been an overweight cat for quite some time. I eat a lot when given the chance. I even sneak food from other cats if they’re not looking and then sometimes when they are looking. I’m quite difficult to monitor for the eating portion of the day so I’ve grown quite a bit over the years. I have been tested for Hyper-thyroid-ism and I’m fine there. My owners have noticed that when I’m on the wet foods and play as normal, I lose weight and become much more manageable and playful. That means I’m on a wet foods only diet. Because I’m greedy, I’m separated when its eating time, which at first I didn’t like but I have become to like being by myself to eat. No one tries to take my food. My activity level has picked up since slimming down a bit and I feel better too.
I’m a family cat that is related to some other cats you may know. Zipper and Skittles are my brothers. Skittles and myself used to hang out all the time and I miss him when I’m looking for someone to play with.
I’m probably the most photogenic of all the cats. Most of my friends here will shy away from the camera. Not me. I step right in. I know what’s going on. I want in on this internet thing. How else will anyone see how beautiful I am? I will pose. Stop… look… and pose again. I’m a very curious cat that once I realize you’re talking to me.. I will be following you around where ever you go.
I’m a very friendly cat once you get to know me. However; you may not see me at first. I like to hide from everyone until I know the coast is clear. If I don’t know you, it’ll likely be an hour before you see me at all. If I recognize you the next time you come in, then it depends on how friendly you were the first time as to how soon I would come out the next time. I am very friendly to our new friends Belle ‘n’ Paws.
Once I heard about the website, I just had to be on it. Belle is pretty friendly with me and when the opportunity arose, I brought it up. I’m friendly with Paws too but Belle is more approachable. You’ll be seeing me around because I’ve had a few issues and I’ve been through every food imaginable to finally arrive on the one I’m happy with now. Happy is defined here as the only food my human is giving me… so I’m happy. See you around !
